A local group of families constructed a barge for use in Ohiwa Harbour, fishing trips with the kids, swimming platform, entertainment centre. After being asked to make the top part for a birthday cake, we decided a trophy to be awarded for whatever activity they decided would be a cool addition. Did someone say they were a competitive bunch?

Materials:
Plinth: NZ Rimu engraved using a CNC with a fee bit. Water effect created using epoxy resin
Barrel floats: 3D printed using light blue PLA
Outboard motor: Designed using Shapr3D and 3D printed in black PLA
Deck and superstructure: Designed using Inkscape and CO2 laser cut and engraved 4mm plywood
