This barometer was presented to the owners grandfather on his retirement back in the 1960’s. Unfortunately it had suffered an accident and was looking a little worse for wear.
Fortunately the mechanism was intact even though a fall had broken the glass and distorted the frame.

New glass custom made with a hole for the reference pointer – Commercial Mirror & Glass, Christchurch
