Designed and built to make use of surplus materials in my workshop, this is an easy to use and versatile device for cutting planks or rectangular boards from tree trunks or branches.

Running on rails, this chainsaw mill can cut planks from logs with minimal personal effort which makes it much safer than many Alaskan mills. Accurate and parallel plank thickness is achieved using a threaded crank, sturdy clamping and free-running tracks. This model makes use of a 22″ Zomax chainsaw with a ripping chain. This model will cut up to 40 cm (16″) planks.
