A retro-looking but relatively modern music centre with turntable, cassette, CD, FM radio, Bluetooth and Aux ports.
The on/off switch was playing up which resulted in significant frustration getting the switch in just the right position.
Diagnosis and repair:
The front of the unit was removed and by inspection it was clear that there was a dry joint between the switch PCB and the main board. After removing the switch assembly and testing it, the unit was reassembled. The soldered joints between the main-board and switch unit were remade and reinforced with copper wire.
Unit tested and returned to client.
